In February 2017, God blessed me with a job completely outside of what I thought I qualified for based on my work experience and my education. I believe it was His way of reminding me that He is the qualifier at all times. Upon me being told I was hired and accepting the position, I remember receiving an email from HR stating “Hi Delana, I hope all is well! In order to move forward in the hiring process, you will need to apply directly to the position through our career site. Though you previously applied for a similar role under a different hiring manager, we will need you to apply to the role/Job ID that reports to Crystal….. Thank you!”
I sat back in complete silence for a moment and reflected on the email I had just read. I then began profusely thanking God for His goodness and I shared this news with my entire family and my Pastor. How could I be accepted and hired for a position that I never even applied to? How could a woman who had been unemployed for the past 7months after applying for hundreds of positions across the world be accepted to this role? How could someone who had no previous background in the field applied for and someone who did not apply for the correct role interviewed for be hired?

God explained to me how and this month I believe that He wanted me to take a few moments to explain to you how. How He can do it when everything looks completely impossible to do. How many of you have ever felt limited? Limited by your circumstances, limited by your finances, limited by your fears, limited by your physical capabilities, limited by your health, limited by your age, limited by your knowledge, limited by your experience? This month God wants to remind each of you that He is limitless and because He is our Father, we always have access to limitless power, healing, joy, peace, protection, resources, and so much more.
As I read my bible, it is always interesting to see the way that God constantly shows different people throughout the bible His limitless capabilities. Recently, I was reading Genesis 26 and I took time to think about the way God blessed Isaac with limitless fortune. Isaac set out towards Gerar and the Lord appeared to him saying:

“Do not go down to Egypt; live in the land where I tell you to live. 3 Stay in this land for a while, and I will be with you and will bless you. For to you and your descendants I will give all these lands and will confirm the oath I swore to your father Abraham. 4 I will make your descendants as numerous as the stars in the sky and will give them all these lands, and through your offspring all nations on earth will be blessed, 5 because Abraham obeyed me and did everything I required of him, keeping my commands, my decrees and my instructions (Genesis 26:2-5 NIV).
Later on throughout the 26th chapter in verses 12-13, we see how “12 Isaac planted crops in that land and the same year reaped a hundredfold, because the Lord blessed him. 13 The man became rich, and his wealth continued to grow until he became very wealthy (Genesis 26:12-13 NIV).

Now that you have officially entered into the second half of your year, you are going to have to know and always keep in mind that God is limitless no matter what your situation may look like. You don’t have to understand the specific details of ‘how’ but when the ‘how’ creeps into your mind, remember that He is limitless. This quarter I challenge each of you not to limit yourself by your circumstances, your finances, your fears, your physical capabilities, your health, your age, your knowledge, or your experience. A wonderful bible verse that I encourage you to keep in mind with you throughout the month is Psalm 147:5 MSG, “Our Lord is great, with limitless strength; we’ll never comprehend what He knows and does.”

You are amazing! Your omnipresence is amazing. Your love is amazing. Your grace is amazing. Your mercy is amazing. Your goodness is amazing. Your blessings are amazing. We come before you praising your holy name. Hallelujah to our limitless Father! Hallelujah for getting us through the first half of this year! Hallelujah for blessing us with the ability to be in a new quarter! We magnify you Lord and we give you honor. This month we pray for the ability, power, and authority to operate always knowing that our Father is limitless therefore there is nothing that cannot be done. God we pray that you encapsulate us with your infinite spirit, heart, and wisdom. Take us higher in our relationships with you strengthening the depths of our faith, trust and dependence upon you. Let every situation and circumstance we face that looks impossible throughout this quarter be turned around for your glory and remind us that through you, we are limitless too. We pray for overflow. We pay for victory. We pray for miracles, signs and wonders. Have your way throughout our lives and continue to grace us with your favor. In Jesus name we pray, Amen.
